Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your upper bust. Add a recommended positive ease of 0.8– 2.4"/2–6 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your upper bust. Measure the upper bust under your armpits, on top of the bust. Note that you can easily adjust the fit by tightening the elastic band placed on your upper bust and your arms. Fabric recommendations:
You can make the dress from draping Tencel or viscose – or, to add more vol- ume, choose a medium weight woven cotton, approximately 4.1 oz/yd2 / 140 g/m2. Poplins are great for this design as they keep the shape of the sleeves and the hem ruffle. Play with motif fabrics, small and delicate flower patterns, or big and bold prints. The sample maxi dress is made from Vanamo by Nuppu Print Company (100% cotton, 3.8 oz/yd2 / 130 g/m2) and the midi dress is made from a vintage satin cotton that used to be a bed linen.
