MYA slacks by Marie Stamm are inspired by mid-century business trousers, but they are made from a lighter, more breathable fabric and take into account the wearer’s needs. They are fit for an office environment just as well as going out with friends or playing in a park with your dog.

With pleats on the front, they give you the freedom to move and live life to the fullest. The design is perfect for both trousers and shorts. The pattern is the same for both variations, so make sure to cut the leg length accordingly. The length is also very easy to adapt to your own taste - crop the legs or leave them extra-long on purpose; the style is up to you.

Marie Stamm learned how to sew as a child, inspired and guided by her mother. After graduating from fashion school and gathering her first experiences at independent labels in Berlin and Helsinki, she now lives and works in Hamburg. Her inspiration comes from fashions of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, with a focus on compatibility with modern lifestyles and the conviction that our clothes should cater to our needs, not the other way round. When designing the MYA slacks, Marie wanted to create versatile trousers to fit any body type and gender, without compromising comfort for style.

Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your waist circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 1.2–2"/3–5 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your waist. Sissi Viiri is wearing the MYA slacks in size 2. She is 67"/170 cm tall. Saranya Meromaa is wearing the MYA shorts in size 3. She is 63"/161 cm tall.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose a medium weight fabric with no stretch. The sample shorts are made from Meri Rescue Hemp (100%) by Named. The sample slacks are made from a vintage cotton/polyester blend (4 oz/yd² /140 g/m²) that used to be a bed linen.

Files:
A4 (home printing) and A0 (copy shop printing) PDF files with layers, sizes nested. Sewing instructions are in a separate PDF file. As an extra, this pattern also includes “Paper saving pdf files” where each size has its own more efficient layout. If you only want to print one size, using these files is one way to reduce the amount of paper needed.

After purchasing, you will receive a link to download the PDF files. There are no delivery charges for the digital patterns, as they are delivered automatically via email immediately after purchase. PDF patterns are only eligible for return and refund if the provided download links have not been used. If the download links have been used, the product will not be refunded.
