The SASHA design is a classy workers’ jumpsuit with patch pockets and an elastic band on the back. The design was created to fit many body types, which is why we have included an additional size for someone who is 55"/140 cm tall. When made from a lighter fabric, you can wear the jumpsuit oversized and add a belt if necessary. You can easily vary the design by removing pockets and adjusting the lengths of the legs and sleeves. The legs are made with facings so that you can roll them up if needed.

Sasha Huber is a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist-researcher of Swiss-Haitian heritage. Her works make colonial history and its impact on current social and environmental structures visible and tangible. Using various media, including an air-pressured staple gun, she unravels wounds and power structures to create space for healing.

Fit and size:
This pattern has special extended sizing – it also comes in size 10y, which fits a person who is 55"/140 cm tall. Choose your size based on your bust and hip circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 5.5–9"/14–23 cm for the bust and 9.5–12.6"/24–32 cm for the waist. Pick the size that is the best match for your bust and waist.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose a medium to heavy-weight fabric with no stretch. Consider using cotton, a cotton/polyester blend, linen, hemp, or denim. For an oversized style, choose a lighter fabric. The coloured jumpsuit is made from a fabric design by Christoph Hefti (100% cotton, 7.96 oz/270 gsm). The ecru jumpsuit is made from “Organic Canvas” (100% cotton, 8.55 oz/290 gsm) from Lebenskleidung.

Files:
A4 (home printing) and A0 (copy shop printing) PDF files with layers, sizes nested. Sewing instructions are in a separate PDF file. As an extra, this pattern also includes “Paper saving pdf files” where each size has its own more efficient layout. If you only want to print one size, using these files is one way to reduce the amount of paper needed.
