The ANNIN scrunchie bag has been designed with winter celebrations in mind. It features a gathered base, a lined interior, and a drawstring closure. The easily adjustable strap allows it to be worn on the shoulder or across the body. Thanks to its simple construction and lack of hardware, it’s easy to make using fabric from your stash, whether you want to gift it to a friend or wear it to a party. Both beginners and experts will enjoy making this simple bag and adding their own personal touch.

Fabric Recommendations:
ANNIN works best with a medium- weight woven main fabric that has a crisp drape to hold the volume of the gathers. Denim, linen, and canvas are ideal, but lighter weight fabrics can be reinforced with fusible interfacing. Lightweight woven fabrics, such as cotton batiste or lawn, are best for the lining. The checkered sample is made using “Vetiver Check European Laundered Linen/Cotton” (50% linen, 50% cotton, 4.7 oz/161 gsm). The red sample is made using “Pillar Box 130 European Laundered Linen” (100% linen, 3.8 oz/130 gsm). Both fabrics by Merchant & Mills. The bag pieces have been reinforced with interfacing.
