The BASE dress by Evelyn Sitter is a basic dress for your everyday needs at home, at work, and in situations in-between – it can be a cosy friend in a comfortable jersey, a dress in a shiny viscose styled for an evening event, or your everyday summer outfit in an airy cotton. It can be transformed through its styling and has the potential to emphasize your back with its long slit and low back neckline. You can choose how much you want to show your body, wearing a shirt over it or a top underneath. Styling it with socks or stockings, you can high- light or hide your legs. The slit will allow a peek or a lasting impression.

Designer:
Evelyn Sitter is a Berlin-based fashion designer and textile artist. After graduating as a fashion designer from Berlin University of the Arts in 2013, she worked in Paris in fashion, textiles, and production. Now she teaches both fashion and textile design and freelances as a consultant and designer for brands.

Fit and size:
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9): Choose your size based on your bust circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 0–2.8"/0–7 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your bust. Sissi Viiri is wearing BASE in black in size 2. She is 67"/170 cm tall. Saranya Meromaa is wearing long sleeved BASE in mustard in size 3. She is 63"/161 cm tall.

Fabric recommendations:
A large variety of different cotton knits and jerseys from 5.31 oz/yd² / 80 g/m² to 8.26 oz/yd² / 280 g/m² can be used to make the BASE dress. Lighter viscose, modal, or Tencel will add a luxury feel and allow draping for the hem. Heavier 100% cotton knits will give more coverage. Be sure to have elasticity in the fabric you choose, as the dress does not include any fastening and is loosely fitted at the waist and hip. The long-sleeved sample is made from Organic Selanik Knit (100% organic cotton, 270 g/m²) by Mind the Maker from METERMETER. The dress without sleeves is made from Single Stretch Jersey (58% viscose, 38% Lyocell Refibra, 4% elastane, 200 g/m²).

After purchasing, you will receive a link to download and print the digital pattern in tiled and layered A4 and A0 size for easy at home printing. There are no delivery charges for the digital patterns, as they are delivered automatically via email immediately after purchase. PDF patterns are only eligible for return and refund if the provided download links have not been used. If the download links have been used, the product will not be refunded.
