MÉLISSE is a three-in-one design that you can easily alter to fit your personal style. You can adjust the skirt length to transform this super beachy dress into one that’s perfect for everyday wear. You can also adjust the skirt slit by sewing it further down past the notch for more coverage or higher up for more exposure. Make the design your own by adding a bright pop of lining to the inner bodice and the inseam pockets, or even as a fun surprise beneath the straps! The options for customizing this top, skirt, and dress are truly endless!

Ever since Brittani Bumb was young, clothing has been an outlet to express her personality. And when she learned how to sew, nothing could slow her roll! For Brittani, clothing represents freedom and the expression of confidence. This is what she wants other people to feel when they sew her patterns. Brittani is the owner of Untitled Thoughts, a local Georgia patternmaking brand focused on Parisian-inspired garments designed with a sustainable mindset.

Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your bust circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 2–3"/5–8 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your bust. If you are between sizes, you can grade between one or more sizes for both the bodice and the skirt.

Bayi Amoussou is wearing short MÉLISSE dress in size 3. she is 65"/164 cm tall. Erica Fernandez is wearing MÉLISSE top and maxi skirt in size 6. she is 64"/163 cm tall.

Fabric recommendations:
Any lightweight woven material would be wonderful for MÉLISSE. Opt for linen, double gauze, or cotton voile for a casual, beachy vibe. Choose silk charmeuse, rayon challis, or a Tencel blend for a garment that’s perfect for dressing up. Be sure to line your bodice with something lightweight that feels wonderful against the skin. The green sample dress is made from “Crepe Sage” (100% organic cotton, 3.2 oz/110 gsm) by Les Trouvailles d’Amandine. The sample top and skirt are made from a stonewashed hand-printed crepe de chine (100% silk, 16.5 mm, approx- imately 2.1 oz/60 gsm) by A Verb for Keeping Warm.

Delivery:
After purchasing, you will receive a link to download and print the digital pattern in tiled and layered A4 size for easy at home printing or A0 for your local printshop. There are no delivery charges for the digital patterns, as they are delivered automatically via email immediately after purchase. PDF patterns are only eligible for return and refund if the provided download links have not been used. If the download links have been used, the product will not be refunded.
