The TAMI tote has an interesting shape and four hidden pockets inside the top folds. To increase its functionality, you can add zipped or slip-closure inner pockets. For the outer shell, experiment with durable materials such as denim, corduroy, or coated fabrics. Combining different textures or colours can create interesting visual accents. Heavier textiles such as canvas, twill, and upholstery fabrics are ideal for ensuring structure and durability.

Fabric Recommendations:
This tote bag is best made from a heavier, denser, non-stretch canvas weighing approximately 11.8 oz/400 gsm, or waxed canvas weighing approximately 5.9–11.8 oz/200–400 gsm. Consider using dry oilskin. This coated fabric feels drier and stronger than traditional waxed canvas, and will give your bag that classic oilskin “used look” after sewing.Fabric Requirements:
Outer bag fabric: width 55"/140 cm, length 59"/150 cmInner fabric: width 55"/140 cm, length 39.4"/100 cm
