The Ugne pattern can effortlessly transition from a structured coat to a softer dress, offering a variety of looks through subtle design changes. The coat version is fully lined for added warmth and structure. It features a collar, cropped puffed sleeves, and a front button closure to enhance its tailored look. The dress version has a lighter construction with shorter balloon sleeves and it can be finished with buttons or press studs at the front. Both sleeve options can be used for either version, offering further flexibility in shaping the overall look. Both versions retain the signature gathered volume and sculptural silhouette, inviting interpretation through fabric choice and finishing details.
To achieve a more minimal aesthetic, this pattern can be reworked into a fully symmetrical version by omitting the contrast panels and adjusting the pattern pieces accordingly. Thanks to its construction and flexible design options, this pattern offers plenty of creative freedom, allowing makers to experiment with different fabrics and styles and adapt the design to suit their own vision.

Fabric Recommendations:
Ugne works well in a range of woven fabrics, depending on the desired structure and season. The dress version benefits from lighter to medium-weight fabrics with some softness and drape, such as linen, cotton poplin, light wool, or blends.
