The AGAPANTO trousers are wide-legged with a relaxed fit and a 7⁄8 length. They have an elastic waist at the back for comfort but still look like elegant, classic trousers in the front. You can make the trousers with or without the side pockets. The length can easily be adjusted to your taste: Crop the legs even more or make them longer – the style is entirely up to you!

Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your hip circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of approximately 3"/8 cm. Pick the size that is the best match for your hip. Sophia Mitiku is 68"/173 cm tall and wears pink AGAPANTO in size 2. Marium Durrani is 63"/160 cm tall and wears purple AGAPANTO in size 3.

All patterns come in 9 sizes from bust width 31” / 78cm to 57.5” / 146cm.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose a light to medium-weight woven fabric like cotton gabardine, linen, bamboo denim, denim, or a blend like viscose/linen or linen/silk. The rose red sample is made from cotton gabardine (100% cotton, 8.26 oz/280 gsm). The purple sample is also made from cotton gabardine (98% cotton, 2% elastane, 5.31 oz/180 gsm). Both fabrics are by Atelier Vicolo N.6.

Files:
A4 (home printing) and A0 (copy shop printing) PDF files with layers, sizes nested. Sewing instructions are in a separate PDF file. As an extra, this pattern also includes “Paper saving pdf files” where each size has its own more efficient layout. If you only want to print one size, using these files is one way to reduce the amount of paper needed.
