Welcome to the Make & Share community: Call for No.17

Would you like to receive all the pattern previews, choose your favourite and make and share it with the sewing community before the magazine is published? We invite sewists of all levels to participate in celebrating our upcoming issue and sharing their makes with the sewing community!

Call:
The call is open to everyone of every race, ethnicity, gender, ability, size, sexual identity, and age. We are looking for makers focusing on sewing in their social media accounts (no minimum follower requirements!) and who are open and happy to share with the community. You can see a selection of the lovely previous makes by the sewing community HERE.

We offer:

  • Sneak peek at all designs of the next issue, where you can choose your favourite to make

  • One digital pattern of your choice to make before the launch

  • Celebrating with you on our Instagram story and website

  • A little surprise from us for everyone that shares on the publishing day

  • Private Facebook group for attendees for advice and sharing their process

  • Warm maker community and a direct contact with the TAUKO team

We expect:

  • You to share your gorgeous make on social media, preferably on Instagram, on the publishing day of the issue

  • Consent to use your photos on our marketing (website, social media & newsletters)

  • Honesty: we want you to share your experience, even if it did not turn out to be your favourite piece

We’d love to hear the maker's feedback on the fit, if they struggled with something and ideas for improvements, but this is in no way required. Instead, we recommend sharing your modification, alterations, chosen materials and all other creative input to help fellow sewists. Pattern hacks are also very welcome!

Deadlines:
The call for No.17 will be open until 7th of September. We will be in touch after the call has ended. There are 4 to 5 weeks for making your piece.

With every new call for Make and Share I am curious, which gems will be there this time. Tauko 14 was a difficult one (too many gems), but I am very happy with my choice for Queenie. The look of this jumpsuit changes completely with the fabric you choose. Definitely worth trying it!

I have been part of Tauko’s Make and Share group for several issues and it is so exciting support a platform for sewists and new designers. I’ve sewn some amazing patterns which are wardrobe staples and look forward for every Make&Share call out.

I think the explanation in the first email and the others is perfect. How and what to do if you like to join in the makeandshare. The pattern, what you need and explanations are perfect. I also like the way you let everyone shine in the (instagram) stories
