This is the original JESSICA jacket featured in the editorial photoshoot for TAUKO Magazine Issue No.14.

Measurements: Bust 40"/101.5 cm, Waist 39.2"/99.5 cm, Hem 38.6"/98 cm, Front shoulder to hem 21.8"/55.5 cm
Fit: Designed for a boxy fit with approximately 6–8"/15–20 cm of positive ease at the bust. Best suited for a bust measurement of approximately 32.1–34.1"/81.5–86.5 cm.
Material: “Washed Light Denim” (100% cotton, 8 oz/271 gsm) by Merchant & Mills with denim buttons by Prym.
Care: Machine wash at 30°C to help preserve the colour and shape of the garment. Air dry. Iron on medium heat.

  • In the 80s, denim was a different beast: there was no stretch, and squeezing into straight-leg jeans was an adventure in itself, sometimes requiring a coat hanger to pull up the zip. It was a decade in which women made strong fashion statements, with the debut of skinny jeans, big hair dominating the scene, and double denim reigning supreme. The JESSICA design channels that rock-n-roll spirit, embodying the essence of high-waisted mom jeans and the cool confidence of a bygone era.
