The SHALLI coat can be sewn in two different lengths. If you’d like to add an accent to a plain fabric, you can incorporate piping into every seam. For this version, we added piping to the centre-back seam, the collar, and the panel seams of the lining. As an alternative, you can choose to leave out the lining. However, you should consider how you will finish the raw seam allowances beforehand.
Read through the instructions carefully before you begin to gain an overview of the project and make the sewing experience more enjoyable. Take a close look at the list of notches and markings, making sure you have transferred everything correctly. Then, decide whether you want a long or short coat and trace the corresponding pattern pieces from the sheet. Check the coat length against your measurements and adjust as needed. All product photos by Laura Oja. Illustrations by Ivona Fodora.

Fabric Recommendations:
Choose medium to heavy-weight woven fabrics such as canvas, wool, denim, or fleece. Use light viscose or cotton for the lining.

The short version in rose is made in “Fargo Cotton Canvas” (100% cotton, 7 oz/240 gsm) by METERMETER. Both linings are made with “Viscose Plain Lining” (100% viscose, 2.5 oz/85 gsm) by METERMETER.
