The SEDITION pinafore comes in two lengths: a shorter, above-the-knee tunic style and a longer, below-the-knee version with a graceful drape. The design slips on over the head, wrapping around to fasten at the back with a button and at the front with ties. It can be worn on its own as a dress or layered over other garments. To achieve neat finishes, try flat-felled seams, remembering to add a 0.25"/0.5 cm seam allowance if you do!

The pocket construction is a fun way to challenge your 3D thinking, but otherwise this is a very beginner-friendly pattern that is perfect for using up fabric scraps and experimenting with textures.

If you plan to wear your SEDITION as part of a layered look, we recommend choosing a size up, as it is quite snug-fitting. It also looks beautiful when made in an oversized style for a more relaxed silhouette.

Opt for medium to heavyweight woven fabrics with minimal drape, such as linen, cotton, or wool. Denim, corduroy, and canvas are good options. If using a heavier fabric, consider using a lighter fabric for the front facing.
